GTA 6 developer, Rockstar games, have finally broken silence over a recent hack

A notorious hacker uploaded devastating GTA 6 leaks online at GTAForums yesterday. The leak exposed not only the dialogue, maps, and playable characters but also the source code for both GTA 5 and 6.

While Rockstar games has taken action against channels and accounts uploading the leaks soon after the GTA 6 leaks went viral online – they’ve only just released an official statement discussing the GTA 6 leak.

“Despite all that’s happened, fans can rest assured that GTA 6 development will continue as planned”

In a statement posted to Twitter, Rockstar games expressed disappointment over the GTA 6 leaks and assured players that they don’t expect any disruptions to their live game services or the development of their ongoing projects.

Some passionate fans, however, think this was a long time coming given how slow Rockstar has been with releasing information related to GTA 6. According to one user on twitter, Rockstar shouldn’t punish fans for this leak. Of course, it doesn’t look like Rockstar currently has any plans to delay the game further or drop the current GTA 6 schedule.

Despite all that’s happened, fans can rest assured that GTA 6 development will continue as planned.

The recent GTA 6 leaks may just push Rockstar to release official details sooner than expected, and you can catch the latest developments here as soon as they come out.
