Future of Assassin’s Creed

Assassin’s Creed Mirage will be the main attraction. The last DLC of Valhalla will also be revealed.

September 10 might be a big day for Assassin’s Creed fans. We already know that the publisher plans to reveal the future of the Assassin’s Creed series at Ubisoft Forward. However, other than AC Mirage, everything else is a mystery. A crucial leak that occurred today has changed that.

According to Tom Henderson, a prominent leaker who has been correct in the past, we can expect to see five Assassin’s Creed games. Yes, you read that right. The Twitter user @TheReaIInsider was the first person to leak the names of the games. However, he only revealed the titles and not the settings.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage

The most obvious one is Assassin’s Creed Mirage, a game set in Baghdad where you play as a young Basim. The game’s existence was leaked last week before being officially confirmed by Ubisoft. Mirage is the focus of the upcoming event as it will be the only title to receive extensive deep dive.

Two Games for Assassin’s Creed Infinity

Two more games will be present at the event. The codenames of the two projects are Project Red and Project Hexe. Both games will be a part of Assassin’s Creed Infinity, a rumored hub of many future AC games.

  • Project Red takes place in Japan. Henderson claims that the game will feature both male and female protagonists. However, the early concept reveals a female samurai-like assassin.
  • Project Hexe is the most bewitching title on the list. The game will take place in 16th Century Europe during the Witch Hunt era. It will be a darker-toned AC game and is being developed by Ubisoft Montreal. Hexe was previously known as Project Neo.

Other Assassin’s Creed Games

Project Jade

It looks like Ubisoft wants to bring Assassin’s Creed franchise to mobile. Project Jade is a mobile game set in China. Tom didn’t mention any other info about the game.

Valhalla DLC

According to Tom, Ubisoft is not done with Assassin’s Creed Valhalla just yet. Information about the alleged DLC is scarce, except that it’s the final expansion for the Viking game.

Project Nexus

The last game that Tom mentions is Project Nexus. It is a VR AC game and the only title that wasn’t leaked by @TheReaIInsider. It is unclear whether the title will be present at the event or not.

Even though nothing is officially confirmed, this leak seems believable. At first, Jason Schreier claimed all of this was untrue. However, a few hours later, he said that he was mistaken and that the leak was accurate after all.

Jason, Tom, and the initial leaker, all saying the same thing, gives this leak a ton of credibility.
