Intel’s upcoming Raptor Lake CPU Core-i5 13600HX spotted on CPU database website, featuring 14 cores and 20 threads.

According to a recent benchmark on BAPco Database, Intel’s new Raptor Lake mobile CPU, the 13th Gen Core i5-13600HX, is currently being evaluated. The new CPU packages 14 cores and 20 threads and is a successor to the 12th Gen i5-12600HX. The i5-12600HX was launched just a few months ago, featuring four performance cores, eight efficient cores, and a maximum TDP of 55 watts. A similar technical trend can be expected on the 13600HX as well.

Listed under the CrossMark Desktop performance chart, the CPU, however, isn’t for desktop PCs. The HX CPUs are basically desktop CPUs with mobile packaging. The performance chart indicates that the 13600HX is slightly faster than AMD’s Ryzen 9 3950X. A graph on the website also highlights that the 13600HX excels at creative tasks, such as animations, video rendering, and 3D work.

BAPCo did not list other technical specs, such as clock speeds and thermals for the CPU. Also, since the CPU assessment is still underway, readers might want to wait for the evaluation to be complete before coming to any conclusion.

While there is no official release date for the Raptor Lake CPUs, leaks suggest an early 2023 release window. Consumers can expect to learn more about the Raptor Lake lineup and its specifications with time.
