Chinese wearable brand, Amazfit is on a journey of converting its rugged watches to rugged premium smartwatches. The journey started with the release of Amazfit T-Rex in May. Now, new leaks today have revealed that Amazfit will continue to add to this collection of premium rugged smartwatches as the company is preparing to launch the first generation of the falcon smartwatch series.

According to the leaks originating from GSMArena Amazfit will be introducing the second batch of its premium rugged smartwatch Codenamed Amazfit Falcon on October 13.

The rugged premium smartwatch released earlier is known to be outfitted with a full outdoor adventure function, a super-tough smartwatch with cutting-edge design.

The earlier released rugged premium smartwatch T-Rex 2 rocked the rugged activity tracker space by providing an affordable alternative to competitors who charge two or three times as much.

From the video leaks, it looks as though Amazfit is preparing to release something a little more upscale.

From what we’ve seen so far, the Falcon improves upon the T-Rex 2 and goes beyond the competitive price/performance balance achieved by the T-Rex line, adding more premium materials and a more powerful feature set.

The upcoming smartwatch is said to be the first Amazfit smartwatch that will ship with a fully metallic, possibly titanium, bezel.

Amazfit Falcon Specs and Features

According to leaks we expect the Amazfit Falcon Smartwatch to come with a round 1.28-inch AMOLED panel with a 416 × 416 pixel resolution and a maximum brightness of 1,000 nits

The Falcon will also offer a 20ATM ingress-protection certification for watersports and run Zepp’s most recent operating system out of the box.

Other technical specifications include

  • 32 MB of RAM and 4 GB of storage space
  • 24/7 heart rate monitor
  • 500 mAh battery lasts up to 14 days
  • Bluetooth 5.0 for Android and iOS

Launch Date and Price

Amazfit Falcon is yet to give any official announcement about the release date or pricing yet. Some speculate that the debuting will most likely happen on October 13.
