Specs are a big step up from Pixel 6a
Many people are waiting for this year’s budget Pixel 7a, and it seems they won’t have to wait much longer. Onleaks have once again leaked the renders of Pixel 7a in three new colors: Blue, Grey, and Silver white. The blue color will be a revival after a long time (You might remember the “Very Blue” Color from Original Pixel in 2016.
The front of the device shares similarities with the Pixel 6a, with chunkier bezels and a punch-hole selfie camera in the middle. However, the back of the phone feels more premium with Pixel 7 design language and dual camera setup.
The Pixel 7a may have a 64MP Sony IMX787 main camera sensor and a 12MP ultra-wide camera sensor. The new model is also expected to offer up to 256GB of internal storage, a significant upgrade from its predecessor’s 128GB limit. Rumors also suggest that the phone may come with 8GB of RAM and a 10.8MP front camera. The cameras will be the main selling point of this phone at a budget price.
Other notable features may include a 6.1-inch OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and improved performance thanks to the new Tensor G2 SoC. The release is expected at Google I/O 2023, which is May 10th. The price is expected to be $499.
