South Korea board has rated Silent Hill: The Short Message.
Update: Silent Hill 2 has been announced. A remake of the original game, exclusive to PS5 and PC.

If the recent shenanigans by Konami are any evidence, then a new Silent Hill game may be closer than you think.
As reported by Gematsu, Silent Hill: The Short Message was recently rated by The Game Rating and Administration Committee of Korea, proving that a new game is in development.

UNIANA is mentioned as the publisher. The same company is known for publishing Konami games like eFootball 2023 in South Korea.
Rumors about Silent Hill games are not a new thing. A month ago, Andy Robinson, editor at VGC, claimed that the reveal of a new game in the series is close. Jeff Grubb later chimed in and claimed a September reveal.
Till now, Konami hasn’t officially confirmed a new Silent Hill game. However, September isn’t over yet. The Japanese company still has a couple of days to prove Grubb right.
It won’t be a surprise if the announcement was pushed back by a couple of months. Such delays in the gaming industry aren’t rare. Konami could also choose to reveal their game at this year’s The Game Awards.
