A system animation-related bug is said to delay the release of One UI 5 beta 2. Update now scheduled to released on August 29.

Samsung has continued to improve its One UI experience over the years. The current Samsung smartphones are running the One UI 4 experience. Samsung will soon release the One UI 5 upgrade, which is expected to improve the user experience further.

While the One UI 5 beta 1 has been out for testing for current Samsung flagship smartphones, a Samsung insider, Ice Universe has revealed that a system animation-related bug has delayed the release of the One UI 5 beta 2.

System animation-related bugs aren’t new for Samsung. With the release of One UI 4, Samsung messed up the notification shade dropdown animation across multiple mid-range devices. A visible animation stuttering has remained unresolved in several Samsung smartphones for over a year. There’s the expectation that Samsung will address the animation bug with the One UI 5 update.

According to Ice Universe, the One UI 5 beta 2 will release on Monday – the 29th of August. Samsung’s UI is considered one of the best UIs among competitors. Therefore, Samsung must make the necessary effort and time to offer its consumers a smooth user experience.

Here are a few features that fans can expect from One UI 5 when it releases in Q4 2022:

  • Changes to fingerprint animations
  • Dynamic color support and improved Material You
  • Changes to sound
  • Improved language support
  • Improved security
