According to a reputable leaker, the RTX 4090 is currently in production.

It’s that time of the year when GPU news slowly starts trickling before going mainstream. Generally, the official news follows some heavy leaks — confirming the GPUs’ existence. Leaks on Nvidia’s upcoming RTX 4000 series remain prevalent, and the latest leak from a reputed leaker @harukaze5719 suggests that the RTX 4090 is currently in production.

A few months ago, another prominent leaker, @kopite7kimi, shared the performance benchmark leak for the RTX 4090. According to Kopite7kimi, the RTX 4090 scored a monstrous 19,000+ score in Time Spy Extreme. For comparison, the RTX 3090 scored a TSE score close to 10,000. This degree of performance jump is the highest that fans have seen in a single generational upgrade.

In a follow-up tweet, @harukaze5719 also shared an image indicating some impressive technical specifications for the RTX 4090. The behemoth of a GPU seems to pack a beefy 24GB of GDDR6 VRAM, 3 Display Ports, and an HDMI port.

Nvidia is expected to reveal and may possibly launch the RTX 4000 Series this October. The RTX 4090 may march first, with other GPUs following its lead over a few weeks to months.

With graphics card leaks getting spicier by the day, an official announcement from Nvidia is awaited. We do hope that the RTX 4000 series GPU launch will not call for another GPU crisis, as observed with the RTX 3000 series.
