Shadow of the Erdtree Expansion

The expansion will feature a map as big as the base game.

Elden Ring fans are eagerly awaiting the already-announced expansion Shadow of the Erdtree. The wait hasn’t been easy, as the developer has been tight-lipped about the details. However, a new leak may give fans an idea about what to expect.

Details

The leak, which first originated on 4chan, suggests that the expansion is massive in scope. The new map will be as big as the base game’s map and feature 16 new NPC quests. Six new weapon types will be introduced, along with four new legacy dungeons. Players can expect to fight up to 98 brand-new enemy types.

The bosses will be more difficult compared to those found in the main game. For example, Miquella the Unalloyed will have three distinct phases. Players will be able to access the new content in Ordina Liturgical Town.

The expansion will be sold separately, both in physical and digital formats. However, the base game will still be required.

Different Editions

Like the base game, Shadow of the Erdtree expansion will arrive in several different editions. The Deluxe Edition will come with a map of the Outer Lands and a Steelbook. The Collector’s Editon will feature a Statue of Miquella on top of Torrent. The Premium Edition includes a decorated Haligtree that can be paired with Malenia’s helmet, provided that you have it. We are sure that there will be a Standard Edition as well.

In other leaks, another upcoming FromSoftware title, Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon, has been rated by the Korean Rating Board, which suggests that the game’s development is close to completion. Visit our previous story for additional details.
