Document Suggest COD 2024 Could Launch on PS4 and Xbox One.
PlayStation 4 and Xbox One owners could be playing at least two upcoming Call of Duty games on their platforms.
Insider Gaming, a reputable website, claims to have received documents from the recent Activision data breach. They assert that COD 2024, codenamed Cerberus, had references to past-generation consoles.
The claim doesn’t necessarily mean that COD 2024 is absolutely coming to past-gen consoles. The developer could very well drop the older-gen version to improve the game. The port could also be bare-boned, similar to how Black Ops 3 was on Xbox 360 and PS3, which only featured Multiplayer modes at 30 FPS, and Campaign or Zombies modes were not present.
A past-gen port might be unlikely, but it isn’t out of the question. Microsoft recently signed a deal with Nintendo to bring Call of Duty games to their platform for ten years. A port of future games for weaker platforms could become a necessity for them.
In other leaks and rumors, the upcoming sequel of Metro Exodus is allegedly content-ready, meaning all the content has been added, and the game should be in the polishing state now. You can read more about it in our previous story.
