Six Days in Fallujah

The controversial game could get another delay, a short one though.

The long-in-development game, Six Days in Fallujah, may have gotten another delay. A prominent leaker, @TheReaIInsider, claimed on Twitter today that the upcoming game has been internally delayed to 2023.

The leaker claims that the development is going smoothly, but it needs more time in the oven. The developer hasn’t announced any official delay yet. So take this claim with a grain of salt.

Although, for a game that’s targeting a late 2022 release, the devs have been awfully quiet about it.

If the above claim is accurate, then the developer will have no choice but to announce a delay soon. The release window is creeping close, and fans will start wondering if the title is in trouble or not.

Highwire Games is handling the development of the game. The new studio consists of several Halo and Destiny developers. The target platform for the title is PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Six Days in Fallujah will be a controversial game whenever it releases. The game is based on a real-life event, the Second Battle of Fallujah, which also spanned six days. The Iraq war is relatively new, so the game’s handling of the events will be paramount in its reception.
