The rating recommends that only children above 12 should play this game.
The development of Hogwarts Legacy must be close to finishing, as it is now being categorized. Brazil recently rated the upcoming open-world role-playing game.
As you would expect, the game didn’t receive a harsher rating. The picture below says, “Não recomendado para menores de 12 (doze) anos”, which translates to “Not recommended for minors under twelve” in English.
The rating means that any content in the game won’t be more intense than the scenes mentioned below.
- Violence: Violent act; body injury; violence references; sight of blood; victim’s pain; natural or accidental death with violence; violent act against animals; exposure to danger; showing people in embarrassing or degrading situations; verbal aggression; obscenity; bullying; corpses; sexual harassment; overvaluation of the physical beauty; overvaluation of consumption.
- Sex and Nudity: Veiled nudity; sexual innuendo; sexual fondling; masturbation; coarse language; sex references; sex simulation; sexual appeal.
- Drugs: Use of legal drugs; Medication misuse; Inducing the use of legal drugs; Discussion on the “decriminalization of illegal drugs”; Illegal drugs references.
Players didn’t expect the game to get a mature rating as it’s part of the Wizarding World universe, which has always been kid-friendly.
The game was successfully rated for all platforms, meaning we shouldn’t expect any surprise delays. What’s interesting is that the game was rated for Switch as well. However, the Switch version doesn’t have a release date yet.
Hogwarts Legacy will release on February 11 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The Nintendo Switch version will release at a later date.
