S23 FE will come in H2 2023 with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1
Samsung has skipped the S22 FE, but it seems the S23 FE is in development this year. It will host 90 percent of the high-end features of the S23 family at a more affordable price. The previous FE devices were very popular in India, which will be the primary market this time too.
It will likely be released in the second half of 2023 with Qualcomm’s second most powerful chip, the Snapdragon 8+ gen 1. It seems like a downgrade, but it is still a very capable chipset and will remain one of the elitest chipset of this year. Other specs are not confirmed at this point, but we can expect top of the line display, battery and build quality. There will be some compromises in the camera.
The S21 FE was launched at a starting price of INR 54,999 in 2021, and S23 FE will start at a similar price too. For reference, the S23 series starts at INR 74,999. You will get 90% of S23 features at 70% of the price.
