Assassin’s Creed

Ubisoft expects Assassin’s Creed Nexus to be a financial success.

Fans of the Assassin’s Creed series are looking forward to several upcoming games, confirmed or rumored. They can add one more title to their ever-growing list, assuming a recent leak is accurate.

According to Insider Gaming, Ubisoft is internally discussing a sequel to its soon-releasing AC VR game. The VR game is known to the public by the codename Nexus and is launching exclusively for Oculus.

A sequel to a VR title that hasn’t even been released is a very bold move. The French gaming giant believes that Nexus will be a financial success compared to other VR games in the industry. Off course, there’s a good chance any future games would be dropped if the first game fails.

The site further claims that AC Nexus is aiming for a September 2023 release, with marketing kicking off in June.

In other leaks, Sony is expected to hold two events in the coming months. Smaller State of Play is planned for March, and a bigger PlayStation Showcase could go live before June. Visit our previous story for more information.
