Horizon MMORPG in Development

The developer has made several successful MMORPGs in the past.

Horizon IP may soon become the most profitable IP for Sony if the recent leak is accurate.

According to a report, the recognized Korean game development studio NCSoft is collaborating with Sony to develop an MMORPG set in the Horizon universe. The two companies are working together to target the global game market. Only time will tell if they will succeed in their goal.

The same leak claims that the alleged game will be developed by NCSoft’s internal studio. A source familiar with the matter has claimed that the development has begun. However, discussions aren’t over just yet.

“After starting game development, discussions are underway in the form of ‘pre-development and post-negotiation’ in which the two companies discuss collaboration and business partnership,” the source claims.

The name, NCSoft, may not be well-known in the western market, but it is very prevalent in eastern countries. The developer has released several successful MMORPGs like Blade and Soul 2, Lineage W, and more. However, it is best known for Guild Wars 2.

If the leak is accurate, then Horizon players will have multiple games to play in the future. A previous report claimed that a DLC for Horizon Forbidden West is in development along with Horizon multiplayer game.
