New Spyro Game Possible Teased

Spyro’s 25th anniversary will take place on September 2023.

Spyro the Dragon could be having one more outing if the recent shenanigans on the internet are to be believed.

Yesterday, Toys for Bob, the developer behind Spyro Reignited Trilogy, shared an image on Twitter with the caption “Big moves and BIG MOOD for 2023”.

As reported by Insider Gaming, the tweeted image contained a picture of Spyro with “25th” mentioned on top of it. You can see it yourself at the top left corner of the image.

The first game in the Spyro series was released in September 1998, meaning September of this year will mark the series’ 25th anniversary. Many fans took this reference as a tease for a new game in the series.

The interest in the Spyro series was reignited with the release of the Spyro Reignited Trilogy in 2018. The collection contained remasters of the first three games, originally released for PlayStation. It received a positive reception from fans and critics. Many expected a sequel, but nothing was officially announced.
