Konami claims that a new game from a much-loved series will be announced at the Tokyo Game Show.
Fans of the Metal Gear Solid series have been starving for some news. Previous rumors claimed that remakes of older MGS games are in development. However, nothing has come out of it yet. Still, there might be some light at the end of the tunnel.
Konami announced today that they would reveal a new game from one of their older franchises at the Tokyo Game Show. It could mean many things, as Konami has tons of dormant franchises.
Andy Robinson, an editor at VGC, claims that the reveal will be a smaller project. Konami won’t be revealing their major revivals of MGS, Silent Hill, and Castlevania. He further claims that the TGS game could be a remake.
A prominent leaker, Dusk Golem, corroborated the above claim and revealed more information. According to him, remasters (not remakes) of MGS 1, 2, and 3 are in development. Players will have the option to purchase the games either separately or as a collection. The collection gives players MSX versions of Metal Gear 1+2.
Many fans were hoping for remakes of older MGS games instead of remasters, but hey, it is still better than nothing.
