Final Fantasy XVI Release Date

Final Fantasy XVI will release in June if the leaker is accurate.

Final Fantasy XVI’s release date may have been unofficially revealed. According to a reputable leaker, The Snitch, the next mainline Final Fantasy game will release on June 22.

Similar to many of his previous leaks, this one is also quite cryptic. The insider tweeted a poem that makes us think he is talking about FF16.

Leaker Tweets Poem Hinting at Release Date

The word “crystal” is probably a hint about the actual crystal, which has been an elemental object in every Final Fantasy game. The lines “twenty two grains of sand” and “six nations divided” refer to the 22nd day and the month of June.

Previous developer statements do support this leak. Producer Naoki Yoshida told the Japanese magazine Famitsu that the release date would be revealed later this year. He also said the game is currently targeting a Summer 2023 release.

Yoshida Attending TGA 2022

Yoshida is confirmed to be attending The Game Awards 2022 Showcase, which is when we expect the announcement to be made.

A few months ago, we speculated that Final Fantasy XVI would be present at TGA 2022. If the rest of our educated guesses turn out to be accurate, then this year’s showcase will be mindblowing.
