The fighting game is set in the League of Legends universe.

Riot Games has often found unprecedented success on the PC platform. Two of their PC titles, League of Legends and Valorant, have been wildly successful both financially and critically. However, console players have never enjoyed Riot’s offering. That might change very soon.

A job vacancy posted by the developer, first spotted here, suggests that their upcoming fighting game, currently codenamed Project L, is coming to both PC and consoles. The vacancy is for Senior Software Engineer, and some of the required qualifications are “Cross-Platform Development” and “Console development experience.”

The release of Project L on consoles makes sense, as they are the primary market for fighting games. Riot will be foolish not to capitalize on such a massive player base.

Details about Project L are scarce, but we know it takes place in the League of Legends universe. So there’s a good chance we will see some fan-favorite characters.

In other news, the recently-leaked Tango Gameworks title, Hi-Fi Rush, was officially announced yesterday during Xbox and Bethesda Developer Direct.
