Apple will massively hike the price of the iPhone 15, and it will go up to $1799

Apple is planning to hike the iPhone prices after five years now. The last time we saw a price surge like this was in 2017 with iPhone X. That proved to be a turning point for the smartphone industry, and other brands breached the $1000 threshold in no time.

This time we expect an increase of $200 for every iPhone model. iPhone 15 Ultra will start at $1299. And yes, the naming convention will be switching to “Ultra” from “Pro“. The iPhone 15 Ultra Max will come at $1799 for a 1TB variant. LeaksApplePro also reported that the iPhone cost would increase by up to $100 for Apple. This will be the biggest price soar by Apple in history. This will also encourage other manufacturers to do the same, and soon $1300 will be the norm for a flagship device.

The good thing is Apple will be moving to 256GB base storage for iPhone. iPhone 15 is also expected to bring USB Type-C with Thunderbolt support and a Periscope camera.
