Beyond Good and Evil 2, the highly anticipated sequel to the cult classic has been in development for a long time. Fans have been waiting for the game for more than a decade. A recent rumor by the prominent leaker, Tom Henderson, suggests that the game is still quite far away.

According to Tom, the game went through some drastic changes, and it now looks very different than the official 2018 reveal. One of his sources said to have “no idea what I was doing when playing.”, whereas another claimed that the game “lacks direction.” Tom himself called the game very incomplete.

This report is a little bit of a surprise, as Tom said last month that the external playtesting for the game has begun. Many thought that the sequel should be closer to release then.

Sarah Arellano: New Narrative Designer of Beyond Good and Evil 2

The speculation that Beyond Good and Evil 2 is years away isn’t based just on rumors. A few days ago, Ubisoft hired Sarah Arellano as a Narrative Designer for the game. A role like that isn’t filled when the game’s close to release. I am sure GTA 6 will come out before this game does.
