iPhone 15 will continue to flaunt Dynamic Island

The iPhone 14 Pro was the first phone in the last 5 years to introduce a drastically new front look, thanks to the dynamic island. According to the reports, the iPhone 15 series will come with a dynamic island across the board, while the iPhone 16 will experiment with an under-display face ID.

Apple has already placed orders with many of its component suppliers, including Samsung, for displays that will be used to make dynamic Island displays or the iPhone 15. Samsung Display anticipates future contracts with more businesses to cope with the rising demand from Apple for dynamic Island displays.

The leak suggests that the iPhone 16 will feature a notchless, uninterrupted display with an under-display face ID. There is no further detail at the moment. Apple is generally late in adapting new technology, but this time it seems early for Apple. Under-display camera technology is still immature, and we have seen major compromises in camera quality with UD cameras.

At this point, I don’t understand Apple’s obsession with face biometrics. I believe that fingerprint readers are more secure and convenient for most users, and it will be easier to implement with an uninterrupted display. Fingerprint readers also make more sense in the post-COVID era, and Apple has already switched to Touch ID in the iPad Air and iPad Mini.
