The GOTY Upgrade path was leaked via the backend of the Microsoft Store.

Far Cry 6 was definitely one of the games released last year. Whether it was GOTY material or not is debatable. The game’s publisher and developer, Ubisoft, seems to think it was.

If the recent leak is accurate, then the latest entry in the Far Cry series is getting a GOTY Edition. The edition will contain the ultimate pack, season pass, and a brand-new expansion called Lost Between Worlds.

What’s interesting is the new expansion. Far Cry 6 has already received a plethora of post-launch content, some of which were paid and free. The season pass put players in the shoes of the series’ iconic villains like Vaas Montenegro, Pagan Min, and Joseph Seed. The free content was mostly crossover events.

All this information was leaked via the back-end of Microsoft Store, so there’s a good chance it’s accurate. There is also an upgrade path for owners of the game. However, we don’t know if the upgrade will be free. It should be at least free for owners of the Ultimate Edition of FC6. The French gaming giant should reveal more information soon.
