Resident Evil 4 Remake

Amazon listing suggests an Xbox One version of the game is in development.

Capcom has accidentally confirmed an Xbox One version of Resident Evil 4 Remake. A recent listing on Amazon UK suggests that the upcoming game is coming to past-gen Xbox console.

During the initial announcement, the Japanese gaming company marketed RE4 Remake for PC and current-gen consoles. But a few weeks ago, the developer surprised everyone by announcing the game for PS4. Surprisingly, no word was given about an Xbox One port.

Dusk Golem, a prominent leaker of the horror-genre games, chimed in and said that the remake was always coming to past-gen consoles. It’s just that their announcement was a little bit weird.

The older consoles still make up a good chunk of the gaming market, and the publisher wouldn’t want to exclude a significant portion of players. The remake is releasing on March 24, meaning Capcom still has a good couple of months to announce the game for Xbox One.

Even though the listing seems very convincing, you should still take this claim with a grain of salt. Ports of games get canceled all the time. Wait for the official announcement before getting your hopes up.
