Uber suffered another breach compromising the personal information of 77,000 employees.

A hacker leaked the stolen information from Uber Technologies Inc’s latest data breach on BreachForums, the site that replaced the now-defunct RaidForums.

Numerous files in the stolen material purport to contain source code for Uber’s mobile device management systems, the company’s food delivery business “Uber Eats”, and third-party vendor services. Unlike Uber’s internal code and organizational data, no user information was discovered in the stolen material. The stolen information did, however, contain 77,000 Uber employees’ personal information.

According to a statement from the IT Asset Management company associated with Uber, Teqtivity, the company doesn’t gather or keep private data like bank account numbers or social security numbers. Along with user information like complete name, work email address, and location, the exposed data also contains device information like serial number, make, and model.

Teqtivity claimed that unscrupulous third parties gained unauthorized access to its networks and misappropriated consumer data. According to the firm, the hacker was able to access the Teqtivity AWS backup server, which holds the company’s code and client data files.

In addition to alerting law enforcement, Teqtivity has engaged a forensics company to look at all logs and server settings.
