Renders of Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro disclose a new boxy design with an updated camera array

Xiaomi is ready to launch much awaited Xiaomi 13 lineup on December 30. We reported a leaked image of the Xiaomi 13 Pro a while back. Now, the renders of both Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro have been shared online by Onleaks on the platforms of CompareDial and Zoutons. The design shown in these renders is a welcome change from the previous generations. Let’s have a look at them.

Xiaomi 13

According to the renders leaked by Onleaks, the Xiaomi 13 has flat sides and a flat display with a punch-hole selfie camera in the centre. The bezels around the screen are shrunk too. The back of the phone is a plane glass slab with rounded edges while the triple camera module is updated with a fresh look. On the negative side, the phone is giving off iPhone vibes. It’s a norm with Xiaomi at this point.

The dimensions of the phone are 152.8 x 71.5 x 8.3 mm. The camera hump increases its thickness to 10.3mm. There is no reliable source on the specifications of the device other than the chipset being the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.

Xiaomi 13 Pro

The Pro series is where Xiaomi likes to show off its advancements. The renders show a similar design to Xiaomi 13 other than a curved display and a smaller footprint than Xiaomi 12 Pro. The renders are based on the display size of 6.65-inches (down from 6.73-inches). Renders are created with dimensions of 163.0 x 74.6 x 8.8mm. The thickness is 11.8mm with the camera bump.

The phone is believed to ship with a 1″ IMX 989 main camera sensor. It’s unchanged from Xiaomi 12S Ultra. It’s a 50-megapixel sensor accompanied by an ultra-wide and telephoto camera.

Xiaomi 13 lineup is rumoured to be the first device to house the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. The price of the Xiaomi 13 Pro is estimated to be around $815 for the base variant.
